France's Defense Ministry says it has launched its first air strikes from the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier in the Mediterranean Sea. The seven-hour bombing raid targeted Islamic State group in the Iraqi cities of Ramadi and Mosul. The ministry said two air force Mirage 2000s were engaged in the mission.
