Russian defense ministry said on Thursday that its air force has carried out heavy airstrikes in northern Syria, near the Turkish border where the surviving pilot of the downed Russian plane was rescued. Ministry spokesperson Konashenkov also said Russia's air force flew 134 sorties and hit 449 terrorist targets across Syria over the last three days, and videos of the operations have been released.
