The Arab League on Thursday demanded Turkey’s immediate unconditional withdrawal from Iraqi territory. In a ministerial meeting in Cairo, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil al-Araby described the deployment of Turkish troops in Iraq as a "clear violation of the international law." Turkey recently announced it had started withdrawing its troops from Iraq following a call from US President Barack Obama.
