Iraq said Sunday that Turkey had 48 hours to withdraw forces deployed near the Islamic State stronghold of Mosul that lies within Iraq's borders. Iraq says Turkey has not received the consent of the Baghdad government to conduct its military operation. Baghdad warned that it would ask the United Nations Security Council to force their removal.
