A death sentence against ousted former Epytian president Mohamed Morsi has been overturned by an Egyptian appeals court, in one of his four trials. The Court of Cassation ordered that Morsi be re-tried on the charges of taking part in prison breaks and violence against policemen during the 2011 unrest. Last month, the same court upheld a 20-year jail sentence handed down against Morsi in a separate trial on charges of ordering the use of deadly force against protesters.
