A US military official has confirmed that the controversial THAAD anti-missile defense system will be deployed in South Korea within 10 months. Vincent Brooks, commander of United States Forces Korea, said rotating strategic weaponry on the Korean Peninsula would be a deterrent against further provocations from the DPRK. He also said the battery would be bigger than the one they have deployed on the island of Guam.
