Oxford Dictionaries selects 'tears of joy' emoji as word of the year

The Oxford Dictionaries' 2015 "Word of the Year" isn't a word. It's not even a acronym or slang for something weird on the Internet.
Nope, the dictionary says an emoji represents this past year better than anything else. More specifically, it's the "tears of joy" emoji showing a yellow cartoon face crying laughing. And not because it's an expletive.
