A foundation stone-laying ceremony of a planned China-Thailand railway project was held on Saturday at Chiang Rak Noi station in central Thailand's Ayutthaya province where the future operations control center of the project will be located. This will be Thailand's first standard-gauge double-track railway line. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and his Thai counterpart Prayuth Chan-ocha have exchanged congratulatory letters on the launch of the project.
