Seized documents reveal Islamic State's Department of "War Spoils"
Documents show that the Islamic State has set up departments to handle "war spoils," including slaves, and the exploitation of natural resources, such as oil and exploitation of antiquities from ancient empires. The documents were seized by US Special Operations Forces in a May raid in Syria that killed top ISIL financial official Abu Sayyaf. US officials say the documents have helped deepen their understanding of ISIL.
