Car bomb in southeast Turkey kills eight, wounds over 100

TURKEY-KURDS-UNREST-105618A car bomb in the southeastern Turkish city Diyarbakir has killed eight people, including two police officers, and wounded more than 100. Turkey's prime minister Binali Yildirim blamed the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party for the attack. Earlier, police detained 11 Kurdish lawmakers, including both co-leaders of the Peoples' Democratic Party. The government claimed it was part of ongoing terror-related investigations.
