Latvian PM Laimdota Straujuma resigns after coalition tensions

Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma said on Monday that she will resign, following a period of tensions within the ruling coalition. Straujuma made the announcement after meeting with President Raimonds Vejonis. Vejonis said he regretted that "internal political quarrels" had interrupted Straujuma's government.
