Japan, US and South Korea agree to pressure DPRK on nuclear program

Japan, the US and South Korea have all agreed to increase pressure on the DPRK following its testing of nuclear missiles. Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Shinsuke Sugiyama said the countries reaffirmed the necessity to take steps to force Pyongyang to give up its nuclear weapons development program. His comments came after a meeting in Tokyo with US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken and South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Lim Sung-nam.
